For me it starts with the gemstone let it be a sapphire, ruby, emerald, red spinel, tsavorite, or diamond each stone has its own personality. I have some gems that have lived in my box for years waiting for me to hear what it has to say or the right client who comes in asks and inspires me to open my box of friends and play.
I have some that are older than my children who are adults. Recently I was honored by a young man who had played on one of the deBella Baseball teams in 1994 and continue our relationship thru his elementary and high school years. To design and build his bride to be her dream engagement ring in platinum and my 18 karat rose gold that represented them as a couple and their wedding bands.
